Unique Technique - Course Designers

Star Events wants to become a leader in the Multi-Sport course design industry, with designing event courses open for athletes in countries worldwide by using select professional Athletes as Course-Designers and benefiting from their knowledge and experience.

The main focus is on the sports of Triathlon, Cycling, Swimming and Running.

Star Events offers vast experience in creating excellence in course design that will meet the varying needs of their clients. While the process varies greatly from project to project, there is a basic plan that will be followed.

Phase 1

The first phase in every design project is the site analysis, during which the Star Events course design team carefully determines what opportunities are available at a particular site. Once the team is familiar with the site, it is important for those involved to familiarize themselves with the needs and goals of the client and project. The critical phase of land planning begins once the Star Events course design team understands those client wishes.

Phase 2

Working together with the project owner, the team selects a location for the event course and a routing of the course is created. Once this routing is completed, the Star Events course design team moves on to the conceptual and strategic design of the event course. During this time the course  character, style and personality are developed, as Star Events tries to incorporate and blend the surrounding natural environment into the eventual look and feel of the project, while creating a variety of different challenges, angles, lengths, and hazards. Before the actual design of the event course can begin, a grading plan must be produced to detail how the distances, elevations and surface will be properly created for execution, allowing athletes a unique experience.

Phase 3

The clearing plan documents how the team will preserve and work with existing infrastructure, roads, vegetation, or, when needed, what areas need to be partially cleared to make room for site work. Once complete, the clearing plan makes way for Star Events to bring in an agronomist that can consult on the climate, soils, water quality and other issues used in determining which varieties of events should be utilized. The final element in the plan is to produce the exact execution plans while working with local authorities to best create the needed infrastructure on the course.

All this activity will be guided and overseen by the exclusive Star Events course Designers for each division.
